Chart Warfare and Celebrity Scandals

War of the supergroups
This week four of the greatest bands ever launched brand new albums in their bid to make it to No. 1.
But while U2 and The Beatles have been left firmly in the dust it’s been pop darlings Westlife and rock legends Oasis who have been scrapping for top spot. And the celebs have been voicing their thoughts all week!
Elton John has said of Oasis, ‘They don’t deserve to be No. 1’, while Louis Walsh has sung the Irish lads praises saying ‘Westlife truly are the people’s band.’
But Gary from Take That has hit back, saying, ‘I just don’t get the whole Westlife thing. I don’t understand who would go out and buy their records.’ The war goes on...

Take That look set to top the charts
But it’s hardly surprising that Gary feels a tad smug about rivals Westlife, with Take That looking set to top the charts at the end of the week with new single ‘Patience’.
The reformed boy wonders have outsold nearest rival Emma Bunton by more than two-to-one so far and it looks like Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason will have a lot to celebrate this Sunday. But poor old Emma, what’s she going to do?

Teaser…
Which superstar is set to appear in Coronation Street?

Emma wants Spice Girls reunion
She’s been saying it for weeks but now Emma Bunton really wants to give fans a second helping of girl power. The star said, ‘We all want to do it, it’s just a question of when.’
Emma added, “The Take That thing has been amazing.’ Looks like the next war of the super-groups could be sooner then we all think. Bets anyone?

Javine’s ex brands her a “second-hand Skoda”
Javine’s ex, producer Karl Gordon has spoken out about Javine’s affair with MC Harvey, husband of pop star Alesha. Sounding understandably bitter KG didn’t mix his words when it came to expressing his feelings for his cheating girlfriend. Referring to Harvey, he said: ‘He’s just traded in a Bentley for a second-hand Skoda.”
No comment from Alesha as yet, but we assume she just thinks it’s scandalous!
