The DVD ‘We Are Together’ is out in August
‘We Are Together’ is a multi-award winning documentary film that tells the story of an amazing group of children. All orphaned as a result of the AIDS crisis, their home, Agape, is their last refuge and their last hope for a slightly better start in life.
The film went on to win major awards at almost every major film festival around the world, and when it was released in March 2008 – it was acclaimed as one of the best documentaries to have been seen in years.
The children’s choir was invited to sing on stage at Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday celebrations at Hyde Park's 46664 event on Friday 27th June. They sang ‘We Are Together’ with Annie Lennox to an audience of millions.
All profits from the release - the film, the CD, as well as the DVD, will go to raise money for the Rise Foundation – a charity set up by Paul Taylor to help keep the school open and to ensure it's continued existence and development.
Channel 4 will be showing the film in its entirety on Saturday August 2nd and the DVD release will follow on Monday 4th August
